Message from Retiring Chief Don Teal:
I would like to take this opportunity to express my feelings to the residents of the City of Martin as I work my last day on July 5th, 2024 after more than 41 years of service. Words cannot express my deepest gratitude to the Martin community and the support you have shown me since taking the position of Chief of Police more than 9 years ago.
I want to thank Mayor Randy Brundige and the City Board for having the confidence in me to afford me the honor of becoming Martin’s Police Chief. It has been the greatest experience of my law enforcement career and I would not trade that experience for anything in the world.
I also want to thank all of the former and current Police Officers and staff of the Martin Police Department for the job they do every day. I have had the honor to work with some of the finest men and women to ever put on a uniform, and for that I am eternally grateful.
The Martin Police Department is extremely strong and has young and talented personnel to carry on the important duties that need to be done to serve this great city. The City of Martin can be very proud of their Police Department.
Thanks again to the City of Martin and to the Martin Police Department.
